Maybe reading this while my wife is at her (hopefully) final midwife appointment with our baby due on Sunday wasn't great timing on my part. Nonetheless, an important piece.
Our first was also born after an extremely long labour in the hospital. This time around, we're working through a birthing centre and a team of midwives. The care has been great. The rise of birthing centres, at least here in Montreal, has been a welcome development and I'm praying that, in conjunction with more available midwives for family-doctor-less parents such as ourselves, will improve things here in Quebec.

Thanks for sharing that, and best of luck to both of you!
